A Note from the Publisher…
We indicated 
there would be a “launch special” when our new site was complete. Well, it’s taken longer than we expected, but the site is now 90% complete. We decided (after getting so many requests) to make the GRAB BAG our launch special. There is no better special than 4 signed hardcover limited editions and a signed galley for $99. In this edition of our newsletter we will are revealing “Grab Bag 2” with ALL different books from the first Grab Bag.
We ended up with over 15 requests (all which will be honored) for “Grab Bag 1” and will need another week to fill all orders due to the level of interest in this special.
We have also received more orders than expected for the “newly-found books” and need another week to fill those as well as the last batch of books have just arrived. We’ve had to request books from our Michigan warehouse 3 times since these re-located books sold like wildfire!
We have unearthed two additional books listed as “sold out” for which we now have a limited number of copies: the signed numbered edition of THE LAZARUS HEART by Poppy Z. Brite and the signed numbered edition of SLEEP DISORDER by Jack Ketchum and Edward Lee. We’ve just ordered copies (hopefully in sufficient quantity to meet demand) which should be arriving early next-week and will ship AFTER we filled the Grab Bags that have currently been ordered.
Lastly, you might want to check the “specials” box on our new website (it’s just under the rotating boxes on the Home Page – or you can just click here). These are ongoing specials with no expiration date. We have updated the specials from our old site that you might be interested in.

THE LATEST NEWS ON THE LATEST GAUNTLET PRESS TITLES
We are making good progress on the layout David Morrell’s RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD II. We should have the book laid out in the next two weeks. After Mr. Morrell proofs it it’ll go to the printers. The book is filled with bonus material that makes this edition truly a collector’s item. David is thrilled with how the book is turning out so far and is very excited for its release.
We have made the lettered edition available to several dealers. Last year the lettered edition of FIRST BLOOD sold out. Purchase the lettered edition from us now and you are guaranteed the book regardless of how many dealers request. However, around the end of this month we’ll have to honor dealers requests and we could be sold out.

Just a brief update on Clive Barker’s THE GREAT AND SECRET SHOW. Clive just sent over a dozen black and white images for the interior of the book. All we need are signed tipsheets and then we can set a date to layout the book. Again, a reminder that we have just a few of the lettered editions available (signed by Barker and among others Owen King).

R.C. Matheson needs further time to correct/revise some of his new stories for his new collection ZOOPRAXIS. We are laying out RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II while he puts the finishing touches on the book. Once RAMBO is completed we will implement RC’s changes and send ZOOPRAXIS off to the printer.
Like with Marie Lu’s CHAMPION we will only be ordering enough copies of ZOOPRAXIS to fill orders (plus another dozen of the numbered edition and six of the lettered). This will be the only edition of this new collection by Matheson. We suggest you order your copy now before we provide numbers to our printer.

DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, GAUNTLET INTRODUCES ITS
SECOND “GRAB BAG” SPECIAL!
As we mentioned in the Publisher’s Note we are repeating out Grab Bag special with a Grab Bag 2 Special (ALL new books; none from the first Grab Bag) which can now be considered our new website launch special. Here are the details for those who may have missed them the first time:
We’ve heard that some of you have had less than positive experiences with other publishers with their “grab bags,” which is why we’re going to be totally upfront with what we have to offer.
Each Grab Bag includes:
- One signed galley (we don’t sell galleys on our website)
- Four signed numbered limited editions (all of our signed limiteds have been limited to one printing).
Additional information:
- Some of the signed limited editions are still in stock and others are out-of-print
- All books are new and undamaged (most are still in their factory shrinkwrap)
- All of our signed limited editions in this Grab Bag are numbered editions
Please note, we are NOT including any chapbooks or tradepaperbacks. ALL of the books in your Grab Bag are signed limited hardcovers.
While we can’t allow you to specify the books you desire you can indicate if you want at least one of your books to be written (and signed) by Richard Matheson, Ray Bradbury or from F. Paul Wilson’s Repairman Jack series.
AGAIN, NONE OF THE BOOKS IN GRAB BAG 2 WERE INCLUDED IN OUR FIRST GRAB BAG—THIS IS A BRAND NEW OFFERING!
The Grab Bag costs $99 plus postage (foreign orders keep in mind that due to the weight of the package postage will be high due to the post office’s rising shipping costs).
