Set for Publication Fall 2024
Gauntlet Press is proud to announce the continuation of Joseph Stefano’s script series featuring episodes from the classic ABC television anthology series, The Outer Limits! From the Inner Mind To…The Outer Limits Scripts of Joseph Stefano, Volume 2 is set for release in the fall of 2024.
From the Inner Mind will continue to offer insight into Stefano’s unique and definitive look into this classic series and feature some of the greatest gothic science fiction stories ever written! The episodes in Volume 2 include:
1. “Nightmare”
2. “The Bellero Shield”
3. “The Mice”
4. “Fun and Games”
5. “The Forms of Things Unknown”
6. “Small Wonder – Part I”
7. “The Cats”
8. “Brains”
9. A Bonus Section (Lettered Edition only) – “Moonstone” treatment
The first five episodes in Volume 2 are final shooting scripts. Two episodes in particular, “Nightmare” and “The Bellero Shield,” are of paramount importance as both final shooting scripts were assumed to be lost to time. Remarkably, both were recently discovered and will be included in this volume.
The next three scripts are never produced episodes starting with “Small Wonder – Part I.” “Small Wonder – Part II” was included in Volume 1 of From the Inner Mind so this completes the only two-part story written by Stefano for the series.
Next is “The Cats” which has been an integral component of Outer Limits lore for years but was never made available to the public prior to this publication. The final episode, “Brains,” is yet another recent discovery written by Stefano in
February 1964. This is a brand-new breakthrough as this title has never been written about or discussed anywhere.
A bonus section is included in the lettered edition with yet another recent finding – the original treatment for the episode “Moonstone.” It is hard to believe that a show that just celebrated its 60th anniversary has so much new to offer but there are plenty of new offerings in Volume 2.
The numbered edition, limited to five hundred copies, will be signed by Dominic Stefano, the son of Joseph Stefano, and editor Dave Rash.
The lettered edition, limited to fifty-two copies, will be signed by Dominic Stefano, Marilyn Stefano (the wife of Joseph Stefano), Richard Christian Matheson, Chita Rivera, Tony Mordente, and David Frankham.
All editions will feature an introduction by Richard Christian Matheson.
The 500-copy numbered edition will be $60
The 52-copy traycased lettered edition will be $300
Note: Credit card must be used for the LETTERED EDITION. Credit card OR PayPal is acceptable for the numbered edition.
